He was predeceased by: his parents, Aniceto Vacas Herrera and Bienvenida Cavia Machin. He is survived by: his wife Merry Vander Linden; his brother Francisco (Isidora Sanchez Gutierrez); and his nieces, Cristina and Ana Belen. He is also survived by many cousins and in-laws.
