He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Carpenter and Dora Carpenter (Bode); and his wife Rita A. Buchan. He is survived by: his children, Gene, Carrie Carpenter (Bail), Jim, Janet Carpenter (Kolarik), Jerry, Sue Carpenter (Rickard), Pat Crain, Al Carpenter, Cathi, Kris Wakeman, Julie and Mike Payne. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
