He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy McGhan (Kenneth McGowan), Sue Wyckoff (Jon), Mark McGhan (Natalie) and Roger McGhan (Pat); and his close friend Amy Borland of Evansville, IN.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to the Leelanau Conservancy.
