Barbara Louise Liljestrand Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Louise Liljestrand of Traverse City, Michigan, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie Mills (Berry) and William Everett Mills; her husband Sven Herman Liljestrand; her daughter Svea Ruth Liljestrand; her son-in-law Joseph Murray; her siblings, Virginia Baker, William Charles Mills, Martha Susan Deal (Marsu), Patricia Cooper (Pat) and William Everett Mills, Jr. (Bill); her nephews, Barry Cooper and Daniel Baker; and her great grandchild Matthew David Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Liljestrand (Jeanne), Jonathan Liljestrand (Pamela), Maryteja Liljestrand Murray, C. Beth Liljestrand Hardy and Linnea Johnson (Stephen); her grandchildren, Angela, Peter, Scott, Benjamin, Elisabeth, Nathan, Christopher, Leah, Michael, Sarah, Jessica, Daniel, Nathaniel and Josiah; and her stepgrandson John. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home (305 Sixth St, Traverse City, MI 49684). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Kasson Township Cemetery.
