With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Andrew Jonathan Nickels (Traverse City, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2024 at the age of 27. He was predeceased by: his niece Kadence; his nephew Sawyer; his grandfather Rick Duncan; and his great-grandparent Esther Ramsay. He is survived by: his parents, Jonathan Nickels and Beckie; his siblings, Ciera Beattie, Madison Crandall, Matthew Duncan and Chloe Duncan; his grandparents, Mike, Lana Nickels, Jan Wagner (Pam) and Claire Duncan; his great-grandparents, Lawrence Ramsay and Dianne Greilick; his aunt Nancy Nickels (Charlie); his sons, Lucas and Levi; and the mother of his children Sarah Miller. He is also survived by extended family including many great aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Gift of Life who helped his family during this difficult time. Though his death brings immeasurable sadness, the family is comforted knowing that his final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
