She was predeceased by : her parents, Seth Brown and Della Brown (Bronstetter); her husband Howard Ely; her sons, Jeffrey Ely, Kenneth Ely, Gerald Ely and Steven Ely; and her siblings, Richard, Barbara and Dorothy.

She is survived by : her children, Douglas Ely (Debra) of Constantine, MI, Thomas Ely of Three Rivers, MI, Brian Ely of Three Rivers, MI and Patricia Meudt (Frank) of Three Rivers, MI; her grandsons, Adam and Seth Meudt of Three Rivers, MI; and her sisters-in-law, Laura Quarandillo of Newaygo, MI and Betty Grunert of Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
