He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Kauffman and Katherine Kauffman (Carta); his wife Bonnie M. Lewis; his stepfather Elmo L. Kauffman (Pie); and his son-in-law Brian L. Petoskey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Regina L. Petoskey and Christina M. Carta; and his grandsons, Nathan Petoskey (Cassy Seager) and Eric Petoskey (Bailey Rodewald).
