He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Zieler and Harriet Zieler (Kubiak); and his siblings, Ronald Zieler, Geraldine Raifsnider, Dorothy Snyder and Lorraine Hartzell.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Schuman; his children, James Zieler and Susan Dentler (Terry); his grandchildren, Justin Dentler (Lisa) and Emily Dentler (Richard) of San Diego, CA; his great grandchildren, Cash Dentler and Mila Dentler; and his sister Marcella Adams.
