He was predeceased by: his nephew Christopher Dixon. He is survived by: his parents, John Botts and Diana Botts (Mendenhall); his wife Jackline D. Botts; his children, Michael Warpenburg, Jonathan, Kevin Botts, Katie and Sara Botts; his grandson Demitrio Millo; his siblings, Gary Botts and Sandy Dixon; his nephews, Christian and Rusty Botts; his niece Leann Botts; and his aunts and uncles, Roger Simpson (Patt), David Mendenhall, Dawn Armstrong and Marsha Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the church.
