He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul, Sr. and Maryalice Peterson; and his brother James Paul Peterson, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Domonique Johnson, Rodney Peterson, Darrell Smith, Davon Johnson and Denzel Smith; and his siblings, Katherine Wilson, Lois Harris, Delores Ellison and Derrick Gordon (Jacqueline). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
