He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Recher and Mildred Recher Sr. (Summit); his brothers, John M. Recher Jr. and Robert A. Recher Sr.; and his foster sister Grace Marple.
He is survived by: his father-in-law David York; his brother-in-law Phillip York; his wife Mary York of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Eric Recher (Janet), Peter Recher and Rachel Evans (John); and his granddaughters, Mary Moore, Kyrah Burns (Bill) and Courtney Evans.
