He is survived by: his wife Florence Schroeter; his children, Richard "Rick" Smith Jr. (Amy) of Copemish, William "Bill" Smith of Nessen City, Kathy Gray (Bill Humphrey) of Copemish and Robert "Bob" Smith (Jennifer) of Copemish; his grandchildren, Kile Smith (Christina), Jason Gray (Lizzie), Callie Karner (Daniel), Alyssa Smith, Brianna Smith and Nicholas Smith; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Declan, Florence "Renn" Karner, Theo and Finnley Smith; and his siblings, Rita Minteer, Betty Wilks, Ellsworth "Butch" Morris, Susie Krueger, Peggy Witkop (David) and Joann Guerra. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
