Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shari Schmidt (Temperance, Michigan), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 72, on December 5, 2021. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harvey Klaiber and Jean Klaiber (Fall); her sister Sue Casertano; her husband John Schmidt of Temperance, MI; her children, Ben Klaiber (Robert Cavin) of Toledo, OH and Ahlia Howard (Jonathan Parker) of Frederick, MD; and her brothers, Marty Klaiber (Cynthia) of Colorado Springs, CO and Gary Klaiber of Toledo, OH..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Shari's honor to the University of Toledo's Helping Hands Fund, created to assist future educators with short-term financial needs. Donations can be mailed to: The UT Foundation.
