He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Johnston and Thelma Johnston; his wife Roma "Dolly" Johnston; and his great great grandchild Brady Gaghen. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Wolfe (Thomas) and Robert Johnston Jr. (Darla); and his grandchildren, Kim Corcoran (Brad), Thomas Wolfe II (Ronni), Trevor Wolfe (April) and Kaylyn Betancourt (Nicolas). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
