He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Komendera and Joan Komendera (Janik); his wife Kaaren Curry; his children, Lisa Smith (Scott) and Rick Komendera (Stacy); his siblings, Camille Lukomski (Gerry), Judy Yanachik (Paul), James (Jane) and Robert Komendera (Sue); his grandchildren, Cameron, Rich, Reagan and Hudson; and his sister Terry Komendera.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Richard's name to Heartbeat of Monroe.
