He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred H. Baxter and Corabell Baxter (Shepler); his former wife Mary Elizabeth; his wife Barbara B. Angel; his brother John Baxter of Oklahoma; his children, Kathleen Pawlowski (Larry) of North Carolina, Jackie Griss (Kevin) of Arizona and Richard Jr. Baxter (Sherry) of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Tony, Chris, Chad (Crystal), Richie (Erica), Tim (Jennetta), Charlene (Steve), Douglas, Danny, Mike (Candice), Laura and Chelsea. He was also cherished by 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and four stepchildren.
The family suggests donations be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
