We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2023, at the age of 88, Oscar Allen Fortner of Temperance, Michigan, born in Sneedville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fortner and Cecil Fortner (Jones); his wife Bobbie Ruth Burke; and his sisters, Ruth Carpenter, Ann Greene and Rose Trent.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Fortner (Michele) of Maumee, Pam Steuwe (Lenny) of Petersburg, Billie Riggs (Ronnie) of Monroe and Tommy Fortner (Suzanne) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Dirk Riggs (Elyse), John Fortner (Yilan), Amy Kanney (Brian), Cristina Beaufait (Travis) and Daveaux Riggs; his pets, Luna and Lucky; and his great grandchildren, William Fortner, Lucas Fortner, Isaac Kanney, Elise Kanney, Makoi Riggs, Monroe Riggs and Baby Beaufait.
Memorial donations, in Oscar's honor, may be made to Pam Steuwe for sponsorship of a Youth Mission trip.
