She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin VanWormer; and her sisters, Katherine Sarno and Josephine Knisley. She is survived by: her children, James Melvin, William Maurice VanWormer (Julie), Marie Lea Webster (Glenn) and Mary Angela Ibe (David). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
