He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Steiner and Bertha Steiner (Zuercher); and his daughter Beth Steiner. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his daughter Paula Robb (Steiner) of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Becca Stutzman (Robb) of Easley and Daniel Robb of Rutherfordton; and his siblings, Roy Steiner of Mission, Norma Eberly (Steiner) of Jeromesville and Clayton Steiner of Bakersfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, his body will be donated to University of Toledo Medical College to help further medical research. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Marion will be used to support the work of Habitat for Humanity and the ministry of Jon and Paula Robb with United World Mission, P.O. Box 602002, Charlotte, NC 28260-2002.
