She is survived by : her daughter Amanda Marie Hagarty (Starseed); her husband James Hunter; her pet Shadow; her grandchildren, Hailey, Kiana, John Ryan, Scarlet, Mickey, Maddie, Teddy, Arya and Anakin; her siblings, Carol McDaniel and Brian Hagarty; and her children, Krista Braman (Joe), Kara Stapleton (John) and James Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have memorial donations to a worthwhile charity for colon cancer research.

Jane Wicks wrote a sympathy message

“Lisa and I ( Jane McCarthy Wicks ) grew up living nextdoor to each other on Meadow Drive. From the age of 4, we played on the swings in my backyard, flew kites, jumped rope, played hopscotch, rode bikes, played jacks, and popped tar bubbles on Meadow Drive on hot summer days. The Meadow Drive kids all played together. The older kids taught the younger kids a thing or two. Lisa was at my house a lot and my Mom called her "daughter". Lisa was a sister to me. RIP Lisa and say hello to my Mom.”
