“Gonzo and I just recently had conversation and I’m sad to hear this news . We have had a long run with a friendship starting at Jerry and Bens where I was singing in the band at 19 and he was the bouncer . My dad felt that I was always safe with him ( oh boy little did he know ! ) and he always called him the walking tree !!! Gonzo was a teddy bear and a lot of people probably didn’t know that he loved to write poetry . He can now see his brother who he has missed so much . Sorry for your loss”
