He was predeceased by: his father John W. Groll Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, John Zimmerman (Joan), Greg Zimmerman (Jennifer), Denise Zimmerman (Mark), Parsell Zimmerman and Jennifer Zimmerman; his mother Loretta Groll; and his sister Diane Smith (James). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., U of M Pancreatic Cancer Research, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
