He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer H. Smith and Lucille Smith (Elg); his sister Betty Goll; his daughter Lawrene "Lori" Parran; and his granddaughters, Bethann Claire and Christina Smith.
He is survived by : his wife Margaret Henning; and his children, Frederick Smith of Sylvania, OH, Linda Pressler (Jack) of Dundee, Marilyn Elsworth (David) of Macon, GA and Jacqueline Caygill (John) of Toledo, OH.
