He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ostachnowicz and Angela Ostachnowicz (Jonkowski); his wife Arlene; his son David Ostachnowicz; and his sisters, Bernice Stark, Helen Apanitis, Florence Siwajek, Bette Turner and Delores Hiatt.

He is survived by: his children, Ervin Ostachnowicz (Vicky) and Diane Sedlar (Michael); and his brother Donald Zajac (Colleen). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
