With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward L. Hassen of Temperance, Michigan, born in Swanton, Ohio, who passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Edward and Loretta Hassen (Meiring); his children, Elizabeth Jean Hassen and Michael Edward Hassen; and his siblings, Elizabeth Mowery and Bill Hassen.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Hassen (Bius); his children, Edward John Hassen (Dee-Dee) and Sandra K. Hassen; his grandchildren, Desiree Sikorski-Henning, Edward Sean Hassen and Donovan Hassen; and his siblings-in-law, Vern Bius (Chris), Jim Bius (Kay), Dave and Karen Gordon. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
