He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Zeiler and Opal Zeiler (Wilson); his wife Mary Margaret Hepner; his son Jeff; his siblings, Michael, Paul, Dick Holmes, Pat Zeiler, Diane Zeiler and Nate Matthews; and also Shirley Zeiler.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Cousino (Kent), Lisa Zeiler (Keith Hartford) and Katie Snyder (Doug); his grandchildren, Amanda Britton (Ashe), Alisha Laroy (Josh), James Lingle, Laura Bloom (Michael), Joseph Szajna, Alicia Szajna, Michael Szajna, Scotty Szajna, Katelynn Lingle, Megan Lingle, Eric Lingle, Tyler Johnston and Skylar Johnston; and his siblings, Margaret Holmes, Robert Zeiler (Sharon), John "Jack" Zeiler (Judy), Carol Matthews, Sharon Beres (Tom), Cheryl Lavoy (Ed) and Harry Hepner (Lila).
