He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleston Smith and Betty Smith (Hosmer); and his sister Deborah Ronau. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Benton (Jeremy Fox); his grandchildren, William and Lindsey Fox; his niece Sarah Ronau (Paul Young); his nephew Andrew Ronau; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Felix, Penn, Casper, Morgen, Vera and Xellah.
