He is survived by: his wife Charlene Joy Stemen; his children, Mark Thompson-Kolar of Ann Arbor, Deanna Kolar of West Lafayette, Ind and Mike Kolar of Temperance, Mich.; his daughters-in-law, Keryn Thompson-Kolar and Rachel Kolar; his grandchildren, Luke, Lee, Alex, Olivia and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Lydia and Adelaide; and his siblings, Dale Kolar, Duane Kolar, Margaret Rouleau and Geneva Pound. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
