He was predeceased by : his wife Carol (Halverson); his son Dean Oather Gill; and his siblings, Oather Daniel Gill, Danion Gill and Maxine Page.

He is survived by : his children, Cindy Gill, Kim Oaklund, Kevin Gill (Sandra), Steven Gill and Nathan Gill (Danni D'Amour); his sister Carolyn Gill; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jason, Rusty, Penelope, Johnathan, Ty, Jacob, Sarah, Lee Anna, Samantha, Evan, Audrie, Brennan, Renee and Kenny. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
