It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Eugene Elkins of Temperance, Michigan, born in Myra, Kentucky, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Elkins and Delphia Elkins (Collier); his siblings, Creed Mullins, Clyde Mullins, Warren Elkins, Arthur Elkins, Crit Elkins, Julius Elkins and Ray Elkins; and his great grandchild Millie Ember Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Ethelyn Elkins; his children, Deborah Shields (Roy) of Murfreesboro, Charles S. Elkins (Beth) of Saraland, Gregory Elkins (Jean) of Temperance, David Elkins (Brenda) of Cody and Lisa Schubargo (James) of LaSalle; and his grandchildren, Melissa Thomas (Walker), Ryan Elkins (Andrea), Kyle Elkins (Lauren), Hali Sparks (Walter), Ian Schubargo (Jillian), Mitchell Holland (Amanda), Cody Elkins, Tyler Elkins (Olivia Christensen), Josh Elkins (Brittany) and Jaclyn Garner (Matt).
