He is survived by: his wife Sydney; his children, Dr. Deborah Karns and Mark Gubala (Nancy); his granddaughters, Hannah and Rachel; his adoptive daughter Barbie Sutter; and his sisters, Gertrude Bowman, Helen Bennett and Lillian Baumhower.
