He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard A. and Bernetta Smith, Sr. (Snell). He is survived by: his wife Alma Jean Brooks; his children, Troy Smith (Carri), Kim Smith (Cheri Brown) and Mary Gillin (Jeff); and his grandson Charles Shephard. He is also survived by three sisters.
