He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Barnett and Helen Barnett (Jordan); his wife Irene Kastel; and his siblings, Robert "Bubby" Barnett, Harold Dean Barnett, Mabel Shepherd, Bethel McKenzie and Lucy Holida.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Barnett (Pam), DeanaAnn Barnett and Mary Barnett-Gottschalk; and his siblings, Wilbert Barnett, Phyllis Mundy (Lester) and Sue Robinson (Junebug). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
