He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hartman and Lucille Hartman (Clegg); and his brother Charles Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sons, Steve Hartman (Dawn) of Ann Arbor and Tom Hartman of Columbus, OH; his granddaughter Allyse Johnson (Jay) of Tecumseh; and his great grandchildren, Jolei and William Johnson of Tecumseh.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee and the Tecumseh American Legion.
