He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W. Handy and Elise M. Handy (Bancroft); his wife Adeline Butler; and his siblings, Russell, Herbert, Donald Handy, Francis Handy, Betty Downard and Joyce Listebarger.
He is survived by: his son Robert Handy Jr. (Jane) of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Jennifer Henson (Chris) and Thomas Handy (Tiffany); his great grandchildren, Allison, Madeline Henson, RJ, Josslyn, Cullen Handy, Brianna and Jacob Small; and his siblings, David Handy (Dorothy) of Blissfield, Doris Bauer of Tecumseh and Helen Handy of Tecumseh.
