She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Mitchell and Pearl Mitchell; her husband John W. Martin; her children, Steven Martin (Jill) of Tecumseh and Karen Merrell (Michael) of Tecumseh; her grandchildren, Nicholas McGill (Kylie), Mitchell Merrell, Taylor Hebert (Tyler) and Betsy Wangsness; her great grandchildren, J. J. and Elise; her brother Edwin Mitchell of Gladwin; her pet Bonnie; and her siblings, Eugene Mitchell and Marilyn LaRoe. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and loving companion.
