It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Brooks of Tecumseh, Michigan, born in Tazewell, Tennessee, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillis Brooks and Nelia Brooks (Surbur); and his siblings, Aster Brooks, Billy Brooks and Lillian Yeary.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Covell; his daughters, Lorie Easton (Gary), Lisa Waters (Michael) of Tecumseh and Susan Johnson (Tommy) of Tipton; his siblings, Winston Brooks (Mary) of Clinton, TN, Bobby Brooks (Fay) of Lafayette, IN and Buelah Ausmus (Charlie) of Jefferson City, TN; and his grandchildren, Chad Easton (Jacque), Katie Nicholson (Mike), Joshua Waters (Kimberly), Mike Waters (Kim) and Nathan Waters (Tamara). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Lenawee or to the Lenawee Humane Society.
