She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Burkert and Grace Burkert (Hoag); her spouse Vale Venia; and her siblings, Mary Schwartz, Frances McLaughlin, Helen Williamson, Thelma Dempsy, Frederick Burkert and Henry Burkert.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Venia of St. Paul, MN, Dennis Venia (Shirley) of Clinton, MI. and Karen Young (Ronald Allen) of Buford, GA.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
