She was predeceased by: her parents, George Merritt and Pauline Merritt (Wright); her husband Howard Schmidt; her daughter Denise; her sisters, Carol Lord and Cathy Quiezeck; and her son Randall Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Poley (late Ron) of Tecumseh, Jacqueline Malinowski (Dan) of Adrian, Michigan, Jeffrey (Dawn) and Richard Cooper (Colleen) of Manchester; her daughter-in-law Lydia Copper; and her sister Mary Taylor (David) of Washington. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
