With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Walker Hong of Tecumseh, Michigan, born in Freeport, New York, who passed away on January 28, 2023 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Henry and Gloria Mary Walker (Shields); her brother Richard; her brother-in-law Peter; and her parents-in-law, Peggy and Leon.
She is survived by: her spouse Kim Thomas Hong; her daughters, Kaitlin (Michael), Sami (Oli) and Courtney (Chris); her sisters, Susan, Gloria (Michael) and Mary (Cliff); and her granddaughter Jemma. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the newly founded Edith Walker Hong Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship dedicated to assisting students with special needs in pursuing post secondary education and career/job opportunities; as this was her life's work and passion.
