He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ted Messerschmidt and Grace Messerschmidt; his daughters, Lucinda Glidden, Christina Marriott, Naomi Barrett and Deborah Armstrong; his grandchildren, Nathan, Amanda, Stephanie, Steven, Amber, Cameron, Celeste and Brandon; his sister Judy Rice; his wife Linda Lee Messerschmidt; and his son Michael Messerschmidt. He was also cherished by 9 great grandchildren.
