He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Valdes and Bernarda Valdes (Leal); and his brother Abel Valdes. He is survived by: his spouse Denise Houghton; his daughters, Angela Ingall (Gary), Kristina Valdes and Nikki Stoops (Josh); and his siblings, Felipe Valdes (Vera), Luis Valdez, John Valdes, Esperanza Hernandez and Connie Demlow (Terry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
