It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Frederick Bates of Taylor, Michigan, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thorton Bates and Martha Bates (Koester); his sister Joan Russel; and his son Fredrick J. Bates. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sons, Stewart (Donna) and Aaron (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Jasen and Cassondra (Joe).
