He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Harold and Helen McEachern (Bufford) of Dearborn; and his siblings, Jerry, David and Joyce Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Helene McEachern (Valentine); his siblings, Glen, Bob and Eddie McEachern; his children, Neil Joseph McEachern and Joanne LaFleur; and his grandchildren, Ken LaFleur, Jennifer Surre, Courtney Mathews and Brooke Bryson. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
