The passing of Jeffrey Scott Matkin of Taylor, Michigan, born in Dearborn, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his son Josh (Angela) of Southgate; his daughter-in-law Angela; his grandchildren, Tracie, Lilly, Ashley, Teegan, Dixie and Levi; his parents, Robert V. Matkin and Ruth M. Matkin; his sister Pamela Frantum; and his brothers-in-law, George Frantum and Jack Giraud.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lynda Giraud of Howell, Robert Matkin (Sharon) of Sturgis, Ron Matkin (Cheryl) of Farmington Hills and Sheryl Cash (Dan) of South Lyon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Taylor (9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A rosary was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
