He was predeceased by: his parents, Oreland Tackett and Madgie Tackett; his siblings, Thedis Martin, Gail Ray, Oradale Johnson and Charles Tackett; and his pet Cody.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Tackett; his daughters, Dorinda Tackett, Michele Hudgin (Darryl) and Kim Fisher (Matt Betley); his grandchildren, Adam McKenna (Angela), Brent McKenna (Stephanie Cogo), Bailey Castiglione (Tyler), Aaron Mason, Mariah Fisher, Emily Albers (Brandon) and Claire Mason; his great grandchildren, Landon McKenna, Sophia McKenna, Kayden Douglas, Harper Castiglione and Blake Castiglione; his grandchildren, Kyle Thompson, Dakota Thompson (Allie) and Monique Thompson; his siblings, Lois Neil Banks of Weaverville, NC, Larry Dan Tackett of Schaumburg, IL and Micheal S. Tackett of Virgie, KY.; his pet Gunner; and his close friends, Carol and Fred Polite.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Solosy Funeral Home (3206 Fort St, Lincoln Park, MI 48146). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (32163 Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
