He was predeceased by: his parents, August Salewske and Mary Salewske (Sanford); and his siblings, Douglas, Marjorie, Warren (Sadie), Richard (Dorothy) and Beatrice Warden (John).
He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Demko; his sons, John (Mary) of Monroe, MI and Steven of Taylor; and his grandchildren, Thomas and Sarah Salewske.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home -Taylor Chapel (9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM at the St. Alfred Catholic Church (24175 Baske St, Taylor, MI 48180).
