He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Esther Burden; his children, Cheryl Fonseca, Karen Hatley (William), Carol Proodian (Robert) and Jim Burden (Connie); his grandchildren, Jeremy (Laura), Beck, Joe (Lisa), Angela (Patrick), Brad (Liz) and Ali; his great grandchildren, Miles, Lauren, Stella, Cole, Elise, Morrison, Zachary Millie, Savannah, Payton, Addy, August and Hattie; and his niece Janet Ferrante (Matt).

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Constance Catholic Church (21555 Kinyon St, Taylor, MI 48180). A Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
