He was predeceased by: his father Thrane Smith; and his sister Karen Gorak. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Lou Smith (Kelly); his children, Michelle Evilsizer (Josh) and Jason Smith; his siblings, Rick Smith (Janet), Debbie Eisel (Jim), Beth Langell, Bruce Bennett (Gaye), Jeff and Denise Bennett; and his grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Aby and Emilie Evilsizer.
