He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sayles and Alice Sayles (Vallez); his parents-in-law, Harvey and Florence Weishuhn (Stephens); his brother-in-law Rear Admiral Frank Corley; his sister Blanche Tacey (Bernard); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Weishuhn and Carmen Dent.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Sayles (Weishuhn); his children, Pamela Oehring (David), Russell Sayles (Judi) and David Sayles (Terry); his siblings, Jean Corley and William Weishuhn (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Meredith Oehring, Jenny Look (Jon), Michael Oehring (Tracy), Tyler Sayles (Chad Adams), Keshia Furst (Mike Frutchey), Chay Bergeron (DJ) and Amy Bishop (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Alicia Holzschuh (James), Grace, Kelsey Look, Emilee, Hannah, Mikayla Oehring and Nathan Frutchey.
